Small Businesses Owners Unite
Recently I joined a Small Business Association and feel that it has a great value for all small business owners across the country. The name of the organization is America's Best Companies, (ABC). The organization is in its 5th year of operation and has over 15,000 members to date. They have used these membership numbers to create a voice in Washington for all small businesses and to negotiate exclusive discounts for their members and their employees.
As a small business owner myself for 17 years, I am very much aware of the issues and challenges facing today's independent business person. Having worked on the other side of the fence in corporate America for 22 years, I know why I prefer to be in business for myself. But, how many times have I said, "If I only had the same resources as my corporate colleagues and competitors, life as a business owner might be a little easier!"? Well, now I do have many of those resources at my fingertips and they are all made available through ABC.
